a skunk on my next door neighbors doorstep
a dog, Isabelle, vibrating with happiness to see a stranger at the door
Our dog Quentin trying on a new sweater at the pet store and then walking on the beach
the morning still dark when I rose for work

My friend Cyndemouse telling me "You'd better take a picture of your hands now before you ruin them" as she painted liquid skin on my wrecked finger nail (I've collected two more minor cuts since she said that)
Being called chef
that first delightful crunch of leaves underfoot
your five senses fridays always make me hungry - surf and turf burger? mmmm.

I winced as I read your friends comment about your hands.... I still can't pit olives without my skin stinging. A hangover from my years in the kitchen. Now I am diligent with gloves (for wet or acidic tasks) and handcream. Same goes for the garden. And come to think of it, my hands are looking and feeling pretty good.
Just trying to say, the long way round, that you can be a chef and have good hands! Chefs need good hands!
