We're having some computer problems and I can't get Photoshop to work anymore. Hence the lack of photos around here lately.
I'm considering buying some new software like Photoshop Elements, Lightroom 2.0 or Aperture. My needs as a blogger are different than the days when I was professionally editing photos, so I think downgrading to a consumer product may be the way to go.
Can any of you that blog and work on your photos, especially the Mac users, give me some feedback on what programs you use and how you like them? Thanks, my little shutterbugs.
I use Photoshop Elements on my PC. My Mac has the full version of Photoshop but I'm only using that for class stuff (and it's not connected to the internet)
Elements gives me everything I need for the minor tweeking needed for blogging: changing contrast and brightness, cropping, adjusting hue and saturation and sometimes rubbing stuff out.

I use a PC with windows vista and have photoshop elements but I only ever use it the rare occasion I want to work with layers, palettes or for a particular effect.
For pretty much everything I use ACDSee 7.0 and I love it. It auto rotates as it downloads and suits the way I like to file photos. For most changes, straighten, crop, correct colour, contrast and light it is really really fast (much faster than elements). And it also has a very fast batch resize function which I use for anything I'm putting on typepad because I find if I don't resize, my images take ages to upload. So I'd recommend having a look at a trial version of ACDsee if there's one for a Mac.
