I am tickled cherry-lemonade pink to tell you that Susanna has been kind enough to feature a Q & A with me about my to change careers and enrollment in culinary school.
I came to know Susanna and her blog, Susanna's Sketchbook, through an introduction by Kristen of Sticking to the Point. Over cheese, crackers and cupcakes, a small group of NJ lady bloggers got together at Kristen's. I quickly learned that Susanna is a supremely talented artist. She filled me in about her Winged Messengers public art installations and I was thoroughly intrigued. We got together a short while later so I could do a video interview with her about her creative process. That demo video later won me a coveted spot in a video journalism boot camp.
Since then, we try to meet up regularly for coffees and chat about all manners of artful, inspirational and delicious things. I was really touched when Susanna expressed interest in interviewing me for her site. She took some very beautiful photos of a Paris themed event at the culinary school. I made the dessert course that she photographed- madeleines, pink macarons with raspberry French buttercream filling, dark chocolate truffles dusted in cocoa and cinnamon and chocolate Eiffel towers.
If you have a moment, pop over to look at the profile on me and then take your time exploring Susanna's artful world if you are a first time visitor. It is guaranteed to make your day.
Thank you Susanna for including me in your collection of beautiful things.
Now that my gears have shifted to culinary endeavors, I am developing a new food blog. Of course, The Metaphorical Magpie will still continue to flap her wings here. Stay tuned for more on the new blog soon.
What a fabulous piece. Well done :-)
