Self Portrait Challenge: Genie in a bottle
There's been a general malaise around here this week. All my dreams of blue self portraits did not transpire as I still feel under the weather. On Monday, I stayed home from work and slept at least 16 hours. The meme of archived posts gave me the idea to sift through my Flickr set of self portraits for something not used in the past. Voila!
This was shot two years ago in my bedroom which was painted a deep sea blue for about six years. I just changed it to pale green this past December. I'm reflected in a lamp that I found on the street when I lived in Asbury Park over ten years ago. I had it professionally rewired. It's now one of my prized possessions. It has an amazingly reflective surface.

I remember that blue kept your room cozily dark. Ya kno' that blue also made the lamp seem super shinny/sexy too. Great shot!
