Attending weddings - Earlier in the month, I had the privilege of photographing the very intimate backyard wedding of my dear friend, The Editor, and his amazing bride, The Educator. The weather was gorgeous. The guests reclined beneath a tent eating a French inspired menu. It reminded me of the painting "Luncheon of the Boating Party" by the French impressionist, Pierre-Auguste Renoir. I met many wonderful, fascinating people while I photographed the celebration. There's a set on Flickr if you'd like to take a peek. The photo
above was taken in their yard. The Educator has a great knack for planting tiny surprises in her garden.
This Saturday, we'll be attending a wedding at Paulsdale, the birthplace of Alice Paul, the suffragist. This woman dedicated her life to a cause that has entitled me and all American women to freedoms not afforded our sisters in the previous century. It will be a great honor to visit her home. Of course, the main focus of the day will be on our friends joining together.
The fall TV season begins- Yeah!!! Tonight I'll have The Office, Grey's Anatomy and ER waiting for me on the tivo when I get home. We've already begun watching the new season of Curb Your Enthusiasm and Real Time with Bill Maher. As usual, Larry and Bill have me close to peeing on the couch while bent over laughing. We've been giving the new HBO show, Tell Me You Love Me, a chance. Following several couples through tempestous relationships and their sexual relationships, it's really not for the faint hearted. I'd like to think I'm a pretty progressive person but some of it has me cringing over the uncomfortable situations. So far, I don't like any of the characters. There's not much fun in watching these miserable people but I'm giving it a chance to develop further. New York magazine's Adam Sternberg wrote in his review "Like a relationship, Tell Me requires a commitment, but like a successful relationship, it will reward your faithfulness. In the end, you won’t just love it for its bodies." I'm trusting YOU Adam, and staying tuned in.
After work treats - Flavors that feel like autumn on your tongue. Butter pecan ice cream with caramel syrup. Mallomar cookies. Miraculously, a box has lasted almost two weeks.
Getting up earlier- I never thought I'd say that but I am enjoying starting my day earlier. I feel more productive personally even if my accomplishments are as small as wiping down a windowsill or making a salad to take for lunch.
I had a dream to begin my own business, nevertheless I did not have enough amount of money to do it. Thank God my fellow said to use the home loans. Thus I received the collateral loan and realized my desire.
