This post's title is actually the title of a Lavender Diamond song. When I ingested my most recent photos the song popped in my head when I saw this image. It especially works since I'm in my typical Monday groan before I have to begrudgingly pack up and head out for work. I'd love for you to hear this song. Click through to their player and fast forward through to the track for a snippet. Or stream all of the loveliness. It's not one of the track's featured on their Myspace page. The video for "Open Your Heart" is worth a visit though. Rollerskates, cartwheels and balloons- oh my.
I've been feeling scattered lately. That actually isn't new. The feeling that I'd like to be less scattered has recently started to gnaw at me. Yesterday, I spent the day trying to concentrate on doing one thing at a time. To focus on just one thing seems like a profound waste of time to me. I'm usually multi-tasking away. Right now I'm thinking about trying to mono-task, if you will. To actually be fully present in whatever act I'm involved with. Whether that be washing the dishes, folding a shirt, writing, editing images, stopping to breathe in the honeysuckle.
i'm very scattered with things i'd like to accomplish myself. this week i'm going to rally though. i've been listening to the lavender diamond cd a lot lately - sirus box died in the car. here's to a mono-task week!
