My friend, Tiffany Demott, has some good news. Three of her one minute film spots were chosen by Siff Speaks to be shown prior to screenings at the Seattle International Film Festival. Siff Speaks is a project that brings filmmakers, citizens ans activists together to discuss climate changes. You can watch her the reel of all three of her spots here. I like the third spot shot from her motor scooter the best. Music from her band, Blewwithanumlaut:, is featured in all of her films and in some of the other participants, too. You can watch more Siff Speaks spots here. It only takes a minute! I particulary liked this one that features children making some very astute points. If you're in Seattle, you have through June 17th to go to the film festival and see a movie and one of these clips on the big screen.
Another friend, Brent Hirak, has decided to move from Phoenix, AZ to Portland, OR. I hope the change of scenery will inspire his photography and soothe his spirit.
Elizabeth Weinberg is working on a photo book. A photo she took of my brother-in-law at our wedding looks like it will be the cover shot. How cool is that? She's using Blurb to produce the book.
